South of Page

I've been here before the summer before last. This, however, is late afternoon on December 26th, 2007. Slightly south of Page Arizona.

To give you a sense of scale there is actually a building down on the banks of the river. I don't think you can make it out here though, but on the full resolution file you can see it.

30 photos combined.

I started with 30 exposures (6 targets with 5 exposures at each position), and combined them into 6 HDR images. Then I stitched the resulting 6 HDR images into this. The files with layers is more then a gigabyte.

I am going through Dan Margulis's book on LAB color and I might well mess with the colors a bit more before I print it.

I think I'll print it a couple of feet wide.
